 Parts-per-billion analyzers for oxygen and/or moisture are used to measure impurity concentration in atmospheric gases when even the slightest presence of oxygen or moisture can adversely affect product quality or yield. Applications include cryogenic gas production, semiconductor processes, blanket/purge gas analysis, mobile cart analysis, welding gases and air separation plants.
Analyzers from Teledyne, Tiger Optics and Delta F typically require small purifiers for the zero calibration gas. These purifiers help the purifier perform zero calibrations to assure accurate measurements in the ppb range. PureGuard catalytic purifiers are typically used for this application because they are low cost, regenerable and operate with no utiliites.
