| New, Expanded Johnson Matthey Gas Purification Technology Website Offers Customers More Detail on Applications and Capabilities of Its’ Gas Purifiers

West Chester, PA, December 1, 2009 — Johnson Matthey’s Gas Purification Technology (GPT) group has created a new and expanded website (www.pureguard.net) to enable customers to more easily match their application requirements with the group’s comprehensive portfolio of gas purifiers for bulk gases including hydrogen, nitrogen, argon and oxygen.
Using the website, customers can now choose from a broad range of solutions that employ palladium membrane, heated getter and regenerable catalytic technologies for point-of-use or bulk gas systems requiring parts-per-billion (ppb) gas purity.
Stuart Bestrom, Sales Manager for Johnson Matthey’s GPT group, said the HP Series product line is the most popular product line since this technology provides the purest hydrogen for use in sensitive semiconductor and analytical applications. Compound semiconductor MOCVD processes, crystal growth and photovoltaic deposition processes are the most common uses for JM purifiers.
“We restructured the website to make it much easier for customers to match their requirements with the PureGuard purifier that can handle it. For example, by clicking on Product Wizard, a customer can enter their gas and flow rate to find suggested purifiers. Or, by clicking on Application Wizard, customers can determine which purifiers will match more than a dozen specific applications,” explained Bestrom.
The PureGuard website’s “Hydrogen Purifiers” option details Johnson Matthey’s HP Series palladium purifiers with flows as high as 220 slpm that have been the Number One worldwide solution for pure hydrogen for over 30 years, said Bestrom.
The website’s comprehensive Library option features technical bulletins, frequently asked questions, purifier technologies and gas charts and tables. There is also a News section. Customers can easily contact Johnson Matthey locations through the website via e-mail and other links.
